Psychotherapy for Individuals and Partners
I work with people of all ages, races, genders, orientations, and identities, providing a safe and supportive space where you will never be judged. I prioritize diversity, equity, and inclusion, and I believe there is no one-size-fits-all approach to therapy. My style is integrative, compassionate, strength-based, and client-centered, drawing from different modalities depending on your needs and goals. My goal is to collaborate with you and focus on meeting you where you are.
I also work with people in many different kinds of relationships. Choosing to work on a relationship takes courage and I’m grateful to be invited into that process with you. I work with couples, families, multi-partner and consensually non-monogamous relationships across all sexual orientations and identities.
Addiction and Recovery
I specialize in working with people navigating addiction and recovery. With years of experience working in treatment centers, I have supported clients across every stage of the recovery journey, from detox to inpatient care to outpatient treatment and to maintenance. I also have extensive experience supporting those impacted by chemsex, the combination of sex and substances such as meth and other party drugs.
As a person in recovery, I understand what it’s like to come into therapy carrying shame, guilt, regret, uncertainty, and a fear of judgment. My approach is compassionate, affirming, and non-pathologizing, with a focus on reducing stigma and helping you build a more grounded, honest, and sustainable relationship with yourself and your recovery.
EMDR
Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) is an evidence-based and powerful experiential therapy that can help people process and heal from traumatic and distressing experiences. I’ve seen how effective EMDR can be. I’m trained through the EMDR Institute, which was founded by the modality’s creator, Francine Shapiro.
If you’re interested in exploring EMDR, we’ll start by meeting to talk through your history, your goals, and whether this approach is a good fit for you. EMDR can be done both in person and remotely and has been shown to be effective in both settings. For many people, it offers a way to move beyond simply coping and toward deeper healing from trauma and overwhelming life experiences.
Internal Family Systems (IFS)
Much of my work is informed by Internal Family Systems (IFS) and grounded in a trauma-centered approach. When I first learned about IFS, I was so drawn to it that I began pursuing additional education to deepen my work with this model. IFS is a well-researched, evidence-based approach that focuses on the “family” of parts within you, not your external family members. It might explore the parts of you that feel anxious, depressed, self-critical, or the part that turns to vices to cope with discomfort.
I’ve witnessed IFS support deep and lasting healing in ways few modalities can. If you’re unfamiliar with IFS, I’m happy to explain it in a clear, approachable way and guide you through the process at a pace that feels safe and supportive for you.
